The Cleopatra island is one of the most extraordinary in the world.
The Sedir (Cedrae) island is made up of three islands - Palace island (Cleopatra island) Central island and Small island. Scientists say that it requires millions of years for the fossils, that make up the pristine white sand, to come into existence.
The island is covered with olive groves sand brush. It is widely believed that Cleopatra and Mark Anthony bathed here after the Egyptian Queen visited her Roman lover at Taurus. They are supposed to have sailed here and landed at Cedrae island. Cleopatra was so in love with the island that Mark Anthony had the sand from north Africa transported here by ship.
